I’ve always believed that some of the best stories aren't told with words, but with a single, quiet moment caught in time.
My journey with art started as far back as I can remember, but everything clicked the first time I held a camera in high school. There was something about the weight of it in my hands and the way the world looked through the viewfinder that felt like home. That spark led me to Kendall College of Art and Design, where I earned my BFA in Photography. Learning to create across different mediums taught me that art is about more than just a clear image—it’s about the texture, the mood, and the narrative underneath.
Why "Myrtle Louise"?
You might notice my studio doesn't carry my own name. Instead, it carries a legacy. Myrtle Louise was my grandmother.A woman I adored with all my heart. She had spunk, an attitude, loved bingo, and heart of gold. She was my constant support, the one who always told me to chase the things I truly loved.
Naming my business after her was a way to keep her spirit close. It’s a dedication to the person who saw my potential before I even did.(And, if I’m being honest, it saves me the headache of people constantly mispronouncing my name!) When I’m not chasing the perfect light for a photoshoot, you can usually find me:
Glued to my PC gaming or curled up with a new book with my 2 kitties near me.
Catching a concert or wandering through a cosplay convention.
Whether it's digital or film, I’m always capturing stills for my own collection.
Whether I’m working with a client or shooting for myself, my goal is always the same: to give you a moment you can keep forever. I strive to blend a creative, artistic eye with the genuine emotion of the "here and now".
If you’re looking for someone to tell your story with a bit of heart and a lot of passion, I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to get to know you too!
